Timo Tekoniemi is a University Researcher at the University of Helsinki's Faculty of Theology, specializing in Biblical Studies. He serves as a Supervisor for the doctoral programme in Theology and Religious Studies. His research focuses on textual criticism, ancient biblical texts, and their historical reception, with particular attention to the Books of Kings, Septuagint studies, and gender criticism.
Key projects include participation in the Academy of Finland-funded projects like The Hexapla of 1-2 Samuel and CSTT: Centre of Excellence in Changes in Sacred Texts and Traditions.
