Tim Alderson

Dr. Tim Alderson is Associate Dean of the School of Graduate Studies and Professor in Mathematics and Statistics at the University of New Brunswick Saint John. He holds a PhD in Pure Mathematics from the University of Western Ontario (2002). His research focuses on finite geometries and their applications to coding and information theory, with continuous funding from NSERC since 2002.

Teaching excellence recognized through multiple awards. Professional affiliations include elected positions in the Atlantic Association for Research in the Mathematical Sciences (Executive Member 2018-2023, Board Chair 2023-2028) and Canadian Mathematical Society (Atlantic Vice President 2021-2025). Serves on editorial board of Contributions to Discrete Mathematics.
