Tiina Randma-Liiv is a distinguished Professor at Tallinn University of Technology's School of Business and Governance, where she has served as Tenured Full Professor since 2019 and previously as Professor from 2007-2018. She held the position of Vice-Dean for Research from 2010-2023 and is currently Head of Division of Humanities and Social Sciences at the Estonian Academy of Sciences. As a member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences since 2018 and Academia Europaea since 2023, she represents the highest echelons of academic recognition in Estonia and Europe.
Her research spans public administration, small states governance, crisis management, civil service reforms, and e-participation. Her scholarly work demonstrates consistent excellence with numerous best paper awards and the prestigious Science Prize of the Republic of Estonia in 2016. Her publications reveal a strong focus on comparative public administration, particularly examining how small states navigate complex governance challenges and how digital tools can enhance citizen engagement in policy-making processes.
