Marek Tamm is a Professor of Cultural History at the School of Humanities, Tallinn University, and a member of both the Estonian Academy of Sciences and Academia Europaea. He currently leads the Tallinn University Centre of Excellence in Intercultural Studies and chairs the Estonian Doctoral School for Humanities and Arts.

Research Interests: His work lies at the intersection of medieval European cultural history (especially Livonia), cultural memory studies, historical theory, and digital humanities. He explores topics like symbolic exchange in medieval Livonia, postcolonial Baltic memory, and anthropocene historical frameworks.
Publications Trends: Recent articles focus on memory theory, digital medieval studies, and human-nonhuman historical dynamics. A recurring theme is the interplay between cultural theory and empirical historical analysis.
