Tiffany L. Knoell

Tiffany L. Knoell is an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Popular Culture at Bowling Green State University (BGSU) within the School of Cultural & Critical Studies. She holds a Ph.D. and MA in American Culture Studies from BGSU, along with a BA in History from Utah Valley University.

Her scholarship focuses on the intersection of film and history, particularly analyzing animation from the 1900s to the present. She explores themes like cultural memory, transmedia storytelling, and the evolution of archetypes in animated media. Her recent publications examine Star Wars: Clone Wars, Spielberg’s Animaniacs, and monster portrayals in Warner Bros. animation.
