David Stephan is an Adjunct Professor and a seasoned visual storyteller specializing in animation and live-action hybrid filmmaking. He holds a degree in Classical Animation/Film/Design from Sheridan College School of Arts in Toronto, Canada. His career spans over three decades, working as a Story Artist, Director, and Animator for major studios like Disney, Warner Bros., and Universal. Notable roles include Supervising Animator on The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin, as well as Director/Story Artist on films like Spiderman and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. He is a member of the Art Directors Guild (ADG), Directors Guild of America (DGA), and Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS).
