Thérèse Monnard is a Doctoral Assistant at the Institute of Archaeology and Ancient Sciences within the Faculty of Letters and Human Sciences at the University of Neuchâtel. She has been in this position since 2022 and occasionally teaches the Introduction to Ancient Sciences course.
Her research focuses on Classical Archaeology and Greek Religion, particularly through her Master's thesis on Artemis sanctuaries along the Gulf of Euboea. She is involved in institute-wide research projects including Kerma (Sudan), La Tène, and the Bulgarian-Swiss Marin – The Coins project. Her work bridges archaeological fieldwork with classical philology and literature, evidenced by her participation in translating Plautus' Casina for the Ancient Theater Group.
Monnard's academic trajectory demonstrates deep engagement with Mediterranean archaeology and ancient civilizations, combining formal education at the University of Neuchâtel with collaborations through the Swiss School of Archaeology in Greece (ESAG). She contributes to both research and teaching within the institute's framework of ancient studies.
