Thomas Parham

Thomas Parham is Professor of Communication and Media Studies and Chair of the Department of Visual and Media Arts at the College of the Arts, where he joined in 2020. He previously taught at Biola University and Azusa Pacific University, where he founded the Department of Cinematic Arts and developed screenwriting degree programs.

Education:

• PhD in Communication Theory/Research, Regent University
• MA in Dramatic Communication, Regent University
• BS in English, US Naval Academy

His research explores media studies, screenwriting, and popular culture, with industry experience at Paramount Pictures and as a writer for CBS's JAG and Family Channel's Big Brother Jake. His publications analyze intersections of media, science, religion, and society.

He maintains professional memberships in the Writers Guild of America, Popular Culture Association, and Television Academy.
