Dr. Thomas Frail is an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the Husson University School of Pharmacy, part of the College of Health. He joined Husson in 2018 after completing a PGY1 Pharmacy Practice residency at MaineGeneral Medical Center. Dr. Frail earned his B.S. in Chemistry (2011) and PharmD (2013) from Husson University. He holds Board Certification as a Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) and a Medication Therapy Management certification from APhA.
His research focuses on innovative educational methods, including video games, augmented/VR learning environments, and pre-class readiness strategies. He teaches courses like Introduction to Pharmacy, Applied Pharmacotherapeutics III/IV, and specialized topics in Oncology, Critical Care, and Parenteral Nutrition. Dr. Frail also maintains an Acute Care APPE practice site at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center, collaborating with Northern Light Family Medicine Residency programs.
