Thomas De Luca

Thomas De Luca is a Professor of Political Science and Director of the International Studies Program at Fordham University. He also coordinates the Sino-American Seminar on Politics and Law, focusing on democratic theory and practice in the U.S. and globally.

His research spans American politics, civil and political rights, Chinese political systems, comparative democratization, and terrorism post-9/11. He has conducted extensive fieldwork in China (1999-2000) and visited North Korea in 2005.

De Luca's publications include three books analyzing democratic discourse, environmental governance, and civic engagement. His academic work intersects with media commentary, offering political analysis on outlets like CNN, Fox, and CCTV (China).
