Dr. George L. De Feis serves as Assistant Professor of Business Administration and MBA Program Director at Iona University's School of Business & Digital Media. Holding a DPS in Management/Marketing from Pace University (2013), an MBA in Finance & Investments from Baruch College (1987), and a BE in Civil Engineering from Cooper Union (1982), he bridges technical and business disciplines.
His research centers on strategic alliances, sustainable development, and globalization economics, with particular focus on UN Sustainable Development Goals implementation, crisis management across events like 9/11 and COVID-19, and cultural dimensions in international business. His work integrates management science frameworks with real-world applications in hospitality, agriculture, and youth engagement.
Analysis of his recent publications reveals three dominant trends: (1) Strategic alliance sustainability metrics emphasizing partner cohesion; (2) Context-specific SDG implementation models across Mexico, Colombia, and Germany; (3) Crisis management frameworks applicable to pandemics, terrorism, and geopolitical conflicts. His methodology consistently combines theoretical models with empirical case studies.
