Thomas Baum is a Professor at the University of Strathclyde's Department of Work, Employment and Organisation. He specializes in low-skills employment in tourism, hospitality, and retail, focusing on workforce planning, migrant labor, and workplace conditions. He is a founder of the Global Hospitality Research Alliance (GHRA) and actively advocates for fair work policies post-COVID-19, including roles in the Scottish Fair Work Convention and ReWAGE initiatives.
