Dr. Thomas A. Breslin is Professor of Politics and International Relations at Florida International University's Steven J. Green School of International & Public Affairs. A diplomatic historian specializing in U.S.-China relations and presidential leadership, he has published extensively on ethnicity's role in foreign policy. His book The Great Anglo-Celtic Divide explores presidential ethnicity's impact on U.S. foreign relations.
With administrative experience including Vice Provost and Faculty Senate Chair roles, Dr. Breslin mentors doctoral candidates and teaches U.S. foreign policy. His current research examines historical South China Sea claims and ethnic voting patterns.
