Thiru Aravinthan

Thiru Aravinthan is a Professor of Structural Engineering at the University of Southern Queensland's Centre for Future Materials. His expertise includes advanced composite materials, sustainable construction, and infrastructure rehabilitation. He developed the JEC Award-winning composite clamp for pipeline repair and directs research on recycled materials in construction.

Professor Aravinthan teaches advanced courses in concrete structures and composite materials while leading industry collaborations on bridge rehabilitation and modular construction systems. His research group pioneers innovations in smart materials and geopolymer applications.
