Terry Gullion

Terry Gullion is a Professor in the C. Eugene Bennett Department of Chemistry at West Virginia University (WVU). He holds the title of Benedum Distinguished Scholar and is a Fellow of the American Physical Society. His expertise lies in physical chemistry, particularly the development and application of solid-state NMR spectroscopy. Gullion teaches Physical Chemistry courses (CHEM 341 and CHEM 440) and has contributed to advancements in NMR techniques such as REDOR and SEDOR methods.

Education: Ph.D. from the College of William & Mary.

Research Interests: Focuses on solid-state NMR spectroscopy applications in materials science and biological systems, including studies of gold nanoparticles, insect wing membranes, and silk proteins. His work integrates experimental methods with computational approaches (e.g., DFT) to elucidate molecular structures and interactions.
