Dan Conroy

Dan Conroy is a Research Scientist and NMR & EPR Laboratory Manager at The Ohio State University's Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. He oversees the operation, maintenance, and training for high-field NMR and EPR spectrometers.

• Education: B.S. in Chemistry (Environmental Chemistry concentration, 2013) from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign; Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry (2019) from Ohio State University under Dr. Chris Jaroniec.

Research Interests:

• Development of dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) methods for solid-state NMR
• Structural and dynamic analysis of biomolecules (proteins, nucleic acids, peptides)
• Quantification of electron concentrations for nitroxide DNP polarizing agents
• Reactive oxygen species detection using EPR spin-trap techniques
