Teri N. Talan is a Professor of Early Childhood Education and holds the Michael W. Louis Chair at the McCormick Center for Early Childhood Leadership within National Louis University's National College of Education. She joined the McCormick Center in 2002 and faculty in 2004, becoming a national advocate for early childhood workforce development and policy. Her expertise focuses on leadership development, P-3 system building, and program quality evaluation.

Her research emphasizes actionable policy solutions for early childhood leadership and workforce challenges. Recent work explores systemic changes in early childhood leadership over two decades.
As Senior Policy Advisor, she engages in state and national advocacy for early childhood policy reforms. She actively collaborates with institutions to build sustainable P-3 systems and improve program administration practices.
