Teri Einfeldt serves as Chair of the Suzuki Department and Adjunct Professor at The Hartt School Community Division (University of Hartford), where she instructs Master of Music candidates in Suzuki pedagogy and maintains a studio for violin students aged 4–18. With over twenty years of experience, she has established the program as a national model for university-based Suzuki education, founding the Hartt Suzuki Institute summer workshop in 1988.

A leading specialist in Suzuki Method implementation, Einfeldt focuses on violin pedagogy, parental involvement in music education, and integrating chamber music/orchestral training. Her philosophy emphasizes nurturing independent learning through student-centered questioning and 'tool box' technique development, creating environments where children master skills through creative repetition and positive reinforcement.
Scientific Awards:
- Alfred C. Fuller Award (2014) for sustained commitment, outstanding service, and exceptional contributions to The Hartt School's learning environment.
Einfeldt mentors Master of Music students in Suzuki pedagogy while guiding young violinists in ensemble development from quartet formation through high school. As a performer, she holds positions with the Hartford Symphony Orchestra and previously served as Assistant Concertmistress for the Northeast Pennsylvania Philharmonic and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra. Her leadership extends to the Suzuki Association of America, where she chairs the Teacher Development and Suzuki Principles in Action Committees after serving as national Chair until 2011.
