Teresita Bellido

Teresita Bellido, Ph.D., is a Professor and Chair of the Department of Physiology and Cell Biology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) College of Medicine. She holds joint appointments in the Department of Medicine (Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism) and the Department of Orthopaedics within the same institution. Additionally, she serves as a non-clinician Research Career Investigator at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System – John L. McClellan Memorial Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Dr. Bellido has secured multiple major grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the Veterans Administration. She has held leadership roles in the scientific community, including past presidency of the American Society for Bone and Mineral Research (ASBMR) and service on the NIH Skeletal Biology Development and Disease Study Section.
