Jialiang Wang

Jialiang Wang is an Assistant Professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, affiliated with the Charles Y.C. and Jane Pak Center for Mineral Metabolism and Clinical Research, the Department of Physiology, and the Department of Internal Medicine. She is also a member of the Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center. Her research integrates genetics, multi-omics analyses, and in vivo/in vitro models to investigate skeletal diseases and bone cancer.

Dr. Wang completed postdoctoral training under Dr. Marc Wein at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School with support from the NIH/NIDDK NRSA T32 grant. She received the NIH/NIAMS Pathway to Independence K99/R00 award to advance genetic models for bone development studies.

Her publications span topics like osteocyte mechanotransduction, Sp7 transcription factor roles, and SIK inhibitors in bone mineralization. Awards include the ASBMR John Haddad and Harold M. Frost Young Investigator honors. She serves on the Advances in Mineral Metabolism board and ASBMR Early-Stage Investigator committee.
