Dr. Teresa Ter Haar is a Professor and Chair of the Theatre Arts Department at Dordt University. She teaches courses such as Theatre History, The Good Design of Limits, and Educational Theatre, emphasizing the integration of artistry, storytelling, and faith in student development.
Education:
- Ph.D. in Theatre from Bowling Green State University (1999)
- M.A. in Theatre from Bowling Green State University (1996)
- B.A. in Education from Calvin College (1993)
Her research focuses on theatre pedagogy, educational theatre, and the history of directing. Prior to Dordt, she established a theatre program at Trinity Christian College and taught at Calvin College. She serves on Dordt’s Core Program Committee and received the 2017 Teaching Excellence Award. She volunteers at a Christian youth ranch and enjoys horseback riding, gardening, and reading.
