Teresa Cerratto-Pargman

Teresa Cerratto-Pargman is a full Professor of Human-Computer Interaction at Stockholm University's Department of Computer and Systems Sciences. She previously led the Interaction Design and Learning (IDEAL) research unit and is currently Associate Director of Societal Outreach for Digital Futures. Her work bridges Educational Technology and HCI, focusing on digitalization's impact on education and societal practices. She holds a PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Université Paris 8, France, and has held visiting roles at UC Irvine and KTH Royal Institute of Technology.

Research Interests: Dr. Cerratto-Pargman explores how digital technologies disrupt and create new educational practices. Her work emphasizes critical lenses on computing in education, including ethical AI in higher education, sustainability in HCI, and material conditions shaping learning. Her projects address societal challenges like AI ethics, digital assessment, and eco-village sustainability.

Grants & Leadership: PI of WASP-HS-funded projects on AI ethics in education and Swedish Research Council grants on sociotechnical imaginaries. She led EU Horizon 2020, NordForsk, and national grants with schools, museums, and industry. Served on editorial boards for Designs for Learning and International Journal of Research and Practice in Technology Enhanced Learning.

Teaching: Program Director for the Master's in Design for Creative and Immersive Technologies. Teaches Behavioral Sciences, HCI, and Evaluation Methods. Past roles include managing Stockholm University's Interaction Design Bachelor Programme and doctoral courses in HCI and Mobile Learning.

Awards: 2013 Stockholm University grant for female academics. Recognized for editorial work and conference leadership (e.g., DIS 2018 Technical Chair).
