Airi Lampinen is an Associate Professor in Human-Computer Interaction at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences, Stockholm University, where she co-leads the Stockholm Technology & Interaction Research (STIR) group. She also holds a Docent title in Social Psychology at the University of Helsinki and is a faculty member of the cross-disciplinary Digital Futures research center.
- Teaching: Design & Information Society course (Masters program)
- Supervision: Bachelors/Masters theses in HCI/CSCW
Her research focuses on interpersonal and economic aspects of networked platforms, including gig work dynamics in the Global South, ethical considerations in autonomous systems, and the role of intimacy in digital technologies. Current projects include the Swedish Research Council (VR) funded Shared Uses of Intimate Technology and WASP-HS project Ethics as Enacted Through Movement.
