Daniel Pargman

Daniel Pargman is an Associate Professor in Media Technology at KTH Royal Institute of Technology's School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS), within the Division of Media Technology and Interaction Design (MID). He is affiliated with Digital Futures, a cross-disciplinary research center, and collaborates with KTH Global Development Hub. His work focuses on the intersection of computing (especially Human-Computer Interaction) and sustainability, emphasizing energy use, CO2 emissions reduction, and societal transitions. He co-leads the Sustainable Futures Lab and is vice-programme responsible for KTH’s Sustainable Digitalisation master’s program. Recent research includes projects on academic flying emissions, energy poverty interventions, and pastcasting techniques for future policy analysis. His teaching spans courses in sustainability, HCI, and complex change management.
