Terence Cudbird is an Associate Member in the Department of History at the University of Oxford. He holds a DPhil (2020) from Oxford, focusing on the Impact of the Great War on French Regionalism, with studies on the Auvergne and Lorraine. His research interests span Economic & Social History, Intellectual History, Political History, and Modern European History, particularly examining regional economic planning and institutional development in France.

His recent work includes a 2023 article in French History on the origins of regional economic planning in France. He is currently writing a book titled Clémentel and the origins of economic regions in France 1900-1940, expanding his thesis to analyze economic regions up to WWII, incorporating Toulouse and other regions. Prior publications include Walking the Retreat: the March to the Marne 1914 Revisited (2014).
