Tenley Bick

Tenley Bick is Associate Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Art History at Florida State University. She holds a PhD from UCLA and a BA from Stanford University. Her research analyzes global modern/contemporary art, focusing on Italian postwar movements, African diasporic art, and cultural politics.

Research explores Arte Povera, transnational Italian studies, migration, and artistic labor. She founded the digital project Costellazione, featuring conversations with contemporary Italian artists.

Publications appear in Third Text, Word & Image, and edited volumes on revolutionary aesthetics. Awards include residencies at Magazzino Italian Art and A.I.R. Gallery.
