Ted Getz

Ted Getz serves as a Clinical Fellow in Hematology/Oncology at Yale University & Yale Comprehensive Cancer Center, affiliated with the Department of Medical Oncology and Hematology within the Yale School of Medicine. His academic appointment aligns with the Clinical Assistant Professor rank common for fellows in academic medical centers.

Dr. Getz earned his BS in Biological Chemistry from The University of Chicago (2015), MD from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine (2020), and completed Internal Medicine residency at New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center (2023). He holds board certification in Internal Medicine from the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) since 2023.

His research concentrates on myeloid malignancies, particularly myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML), with emphasis on outcomes research, clinical trial methodology, and development of multi-institutional registries. His scholarly work spans targeted therapies for hematologic cancers, meta-analysis, and multicenter study design, reflecting both clinical and translational research approaches.

Analysis of his publication history (2016-2025) reveals an evolving research trajectory from early microbiome studies in vascular inflammation to current focus on hematologic malignancies.
