Professor Tara Dean is the Provost at London South Bank University (LSBU), serving as the chief academic officer. Previously, she held senior roles including Pro Vice-Chancellor for Research and Enterprise at the University of Brighton (2016–2021) and Dean of the Faculty of Science at the University of Portsmouth (2014–2016). She earned a BSc in Biological Chemistry from the University of Essex (1982–1985) and a PhD from King’s College London (1985–1989).
- Research Focus: Epidemiology of allergic disorders, food allergies, and maternal dietary impacts on childhood allergies.
- Awards: Shortlisted for Mentor of the Year (Women of Future Programme, 2015).
