Dr. Tanya Ovenden-Hope is a Visiting Research Fellow at the School of Society and Culture, University of Plymouth, and concurrently serves as Provost and Professor of Education at Plymouth Marjon University. She holds an Adjunct Professorship at Cape Breton University, Canada. Her roles include leadership in education institutions, such as Director of the Atlantic Centre of Excellence (ACE) Multi Academy Trust and voluntary governance positions in Marine Academy Plymouth (MAP).
Her research focuses on education policy, teacher training, applied pedagogy, and innovation in education. Key interests include professional convergence in teaching qualifications, online safety in schools, and the application of longitudinal methodology. She actively contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals through her work in equitable education systems.
Her articles explore challenges in teacher qualification frameworks, online safety curricula, and vocational education policies. She has held roles as an OfSTED Additional Inspector, QAA Reviewer, and Associate Analyst for the Department for Education.
