Tanya Kane-Parry

Tanya Kane-Parry is a Professor in the Department of Theatre and Dance at California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA), where she has served since 2001. She is also the Artistic Director and co-founder of Opera del Espacio, a company specializing in innovative, site-specific performances and multimedia adaptations. Her work spans directing, choreography, and interdisciplinary projects across theatre, opera, and dance.

Education: MFA in Directing from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (2001), and BFA in Acting from New York University’s Circle-in-the-Square/Experimental Theatre Wing (1988). She has trained extensively in Viewpoints, physical theatre, and vocal techniques.
