Tanya Judd is the McCoy Professor of Education and Leadership Studies and Director of Leadership Development at Marietta College. She holds a Ph.D. in Public Affairs (2007, University of Central Florida), MA in Social Science Education (1996, University of Florida), and BA in History (1995, University of Florida). Her research focuses on teacher burnout and certification impacts, stemming from her 10-year career as a teacher and Learning Resource Specialist in Orlando public schools.
She has held multiple leadership roles at Marietta College, including Director of Civic Engagement (McDonough Center for Leadership and Business), Director of the Worthington Center for Teaching Excellence, and Dean of the Education program. Currently oversees the Teacher Leadership Certificate program developed through her K-12 expertise.
Recipient of prestigious awards including the McCoy Teaching Professorship and Harness Educator Award, she teaches courses like General Methods, Social Studies Methods, and Education Capstone. Her work integrates practical leadership development with educational theory.
