Tanis Dingle holds a primary appointment as Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Cumming School of Medicine, University of Calgary, and serves as Assistant Adjunct Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology at the University of Alberta's Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. She is a clinical microbiologist at Alberta Precision Laboratories - Public Health Laboratory.
Her research focuses on novel antimicrobial activity assessment strategies and diagnostic methods for invasive fungal infections. Key areas include epidemiology of fungal pathogens, antimicrobial resistance detection, and improving prognostic algorithms for fungal infection management.
