Mark Peppler

Mark Peppler serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology within the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta. His primary academic appointment focuses on undergraduate medical laboratory science education and clinical microbiology instruction.

His research and pedagogical expertise centers on bacterial pathogenesis, clinical diagnostic methodologies, and host-pathogen interactions. Specialized areas include antimicrobial susceptibility testing, aerobic/anaerobic pathogen characterization, and immune response mechanisms to bacterial infections.
