Tania Griffin is a Senior Lecturer in the Department for Health at the University of Bath, specializing in Nutrition and Population Health. She joined the university in 2018 and focuses on promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors through mixed-methods research, including intervention development and evaluation. Her work spans obesity prevention in schools, cultural adaptation of weight management programs, and applied sports nutrition. She is a registered Sport and Exercise Nutritionist (SENR) and contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals related to health and well-being.
Her research interests include public health interventions, dietary policies, and the psychological aspects of food choice. She has led or co-investigated multiple projects funded by organizations such as the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC), Medical Research Council (MRC), and the Department of Health and Social Care. Tania has collaborated on studies exploring school food standards, pandemic impacts on lifestyle, and qualitative research on public health behaviors.
