Dr. Meghan Bentley is a Research Fellow at the Carnegie School of Sport (Leeds Beckett University) and a sports nutritionist for GB para-powerlifting. Her interdisciplinary work bridges sports nutrition and behavioral psychology to address athlete dietary behavior and wellbeing.
- BSc (Hons) in Nutrition, Health, and Lifestyles (Sheffield Hallam University)
- MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition (Leeds Beckett University)
- PhD in partnership with Leeds Beckett University and the English Institute of Sport
Her research focuses on athlete dietary behavior, using behavioral science to develop evidence-informed interventions like the Sports Nutrition Behavioural Assessment Tool. She works within the PROSPER research group at the Centre for Human Performance, addressing supplement risks and optimizing high-performance sport culture.
Meghan has received funding from the British Dietitian Association (BDA) and collaborated with Sport Wales and the Welsh Institute of Performance and Science (WIPS). She is a Practitioner Registrant of the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENR) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA).
