Louise Sutton is a Senior Lecturer at Leeds Beckett University within the Carnegie School of Sport, where she co-leads the Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences subject area. Recognized as a leading practitioner in applied sport nutrition, she bridges academic research with practical implementation for elite athletes, extreme environment expeditions, and junior athlete development.

Research Focus: Nutritional considerations for extreme challenges (Himalayan expeditions, polar environments, Atlantic rows) and behavioral aspects of elite athlete dietary practices. Her work connects clinical dietetics with sports science, emphasizing practical application.
Academic Leadership: Pioneered the UK's first SENR-accredited MSc program in Sport and Exercise Nutrition, developed CPD certificates for healthcare professionals, and created the Advanced Certificate in Applied Sport Nutrition Practice to support graduate practitioners.
Scientific Recognition: Recipient of the BDA Roll of Honour (3x), BDA IBEX Professional Achievement Award (2016), and SENR Rosanna Hudson Award (2019) for her contributions to sport nutrition standards.
