Tania Gergel is a Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, and an Honorary Professor at the Division of Psychiatry, University College London. She serves as Director of Research at Bipolar UK and leads projects on advance choice documents, bipolar disorder, and mental health ethics. Her career bridges ancient philosophy and contemporary mental health research, focusing on advance directives, coercion, personal identity, and phenomenology.
