Takeharu SOGO is an Associate Professor at SKEMA Business School (France) since 2019, with previous roles as Associate Professor at Osaka University of Economics (2017–2019) and Assistant Professor at Osaka International University (2014–2017). He holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (2015) and a Master’s from Kyoto University (2005). His research focuses on Auction Theory, Information Economics, and behavioral aspects of decision-making. He has been a Visiting Scholar at Waseda University (2022) and actively contributes to journals like Journal of Economic Theory and Games and Economic Behavior.
Research Interests: SOGO explores mechanisms of information disclosure in auctions, procrastination dynamics, and optimal contract design under behavioral biases. His work bridges game theory with real-world applications in finance and industrial organization.
Grants & Awards: Recipient of a 2024 Kaken Research Grant (Japan).
Advising & Grants: Supervised PhD candidate G. SURESH (Indian Institute of Technology Tirupati). Actively reviews for Journal of Economic Theory and organizes academic conferences.
Presentations: Keynote speaker at the 29th Decentralization Conference (2023, Osaka) and EARIE 2022 (Vienna). Recent topics include transparency in organizations and auction design with loss-averse bidders.
