Professor Tadhg O' Hannrachain serves as Head of the School of History at University College Dublin, specializing in Early Modern Irish history and European Counter-Reformation studies. His research examines religious change in Habsburg Hungary and Stuart Ireland.
Education:

Research investigates Catholic confessional identities, religious migrations, and political Catholicism. Recent projects analyze narrative histories of the 1640s and comparative religious transformations across European peripheries. Authored monographs include 'Catholic Europe, 1592-1648' and 'Confessionalism and Mobility in Early Modern Ireland'.
