معرفی
Tadatoshi Sato, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the T.H. Chan School of Medicine within UMass Chan Medical School. His work spans the Department of Medicine's Division of Rheumatology and the Gene Therapy Center, focusing on molecular mechanisms of rare diseases and autoimmune disorders. He leads the Sato Lab in Worcester, MA, which investigates gene editing and cell therapy applications for skeletal and connective tissue conditions.

His research integrates CRISPR gene editing, osteocyte mechanotransduction, and Klotho protein dynamics to address bone metabolism and autoimmune pathologies. Recent projects include salt-inducible kinase inhibition for skeletal regeneration and collagen mutation correction in osteogenesis imperfecta.
Publications reveal a strong emphasis on calcium homeostasis, parathyroid hormone interactions, and osteoclast biology. Key collaborations include Guangping Gao and Jae-Hyuck Shim, with notable work in PNAS, Nature Communications, and Journal of Bone and Mineral Research.
The lab actively recruits postdoctoral fellows for gene therapy research, maintaining affiliations with translational science programs and biomedical graduate education initiatives. Current projects bridge autoimmune arthritis models with metabolic disease mechanisms, supported by technical advances in adeno-associated virus delivery systems.
