Guangping Gao

Guangping Gao, PhD is a Professor at the Horae Gene Therapy Center within the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School. His research focuses on adeno-associated virus (AAV)-mediated gene therapy, targeting neurological and metabolic disorders such as maple syrup urine disease (MSUD), Alexander disease, and osteogenesis imperfecta. Dr. Gao leads the Gao Lab, which specializes in AAV vector engineering, genome editing, and translational studies.
