Sylwia Ciuk

Sylwia Ciuk is a Reader in Organisation Studies and Deputy Head of the Doctoral Programmes at Oxford Brookes Business School (Oxford Brookes University). She holds a PhD in Business from the same institution and has expertise in sociology and applied linguistics. Her research focuses on organisational change, linguistic diversity in multinational enterprises, and expatriate management. She has developed innovative methodologies like narrative photo collages and experiential maps.

Education: PhD in Business (Oxford Brookes), MA and MA qualifications. She has supervised five completed PhD students and currently advises six more. She teaches on MA programmes and leads the PhD Registration and Transfer panel.

Methodological Innovations include visual methods like photo-elicitation.

Grants and Projects: Led British Academy-funded studies on hybrid working inclusion (£9,633) and co-led a project on leadership and visual methods (£17,996).

Awards: Recognized with the AIB's 2020 Best Reviewer Award. Serves on editorial boards of Management Learning and Journal of Global Mobility.
