Dr Alexandra Bickley Trott (BA, MA, PhD) is a Senior Lecturer in Fine Art Theory and Programme Lead for Art & Design at Oxford Brookes University's School of Arts. She joined the institution in January 2016 and holds a PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London (2015), with an MA from the Courtauld Institute (2009).
- Leadership roles: BA Fine Art, Foundation Art & Design, MFA Fine Art (Critical Theory modules)
- Established new programs: Photography and Graphic Design (2019)
Her research focuses on class identity in 21st-century British art, avant-garde communities, and lesser-known figures in modern art. She is Principal Investigator for Kahoon Projects, a Tate-funded initiative examining Duncan Grant's kinetic art, and co-editor of the forthcoming The Working-Class Avant-Garde special collection.
Research projects include:

- Duncan Grant's Abstract Kinetic Collage Painting (Tate In Focus commission)
She supervises PhD projects in British/French art (19th-21st century), avant-garde communities, and class analysis in Western art. Professional affiliations include:
