Lothar Ledderose Corres, FBA, served as the Slade Professor at the University of Cambridge's Department of History of Art from 1991 to 1992. His academic focus includes art history, with specializations in Russian art, modern and contemporary art, and visual culture. He was affiliated with research initiatives such as the Cambridge Courtauld Russian Art Centre (CCRAC), contributing to interdisciplinary projects on global art history.
Research interests revolve around the intersection of political ideologies and artistic movements, particularly in Eastern Europe and 20th-century avant-garde practices. His work has engaged with institutional collaborations, exemplified by organizing conferences like 'The People’s Art School and Unovis in Vitebsk.'
