Vivien Perutz is a Visiting Lecturer in the Department of History of Art at the University of Cambridge. They hold an M.A. from the University of Cambridge (Cantab.) and another M.A. from the University of London. Their research interests span medieval and renaissance visual culture, modern/contemporary art theory, and global art studies with particular engagement in Russian art history through affiliations like the Cambridge Courtauld Russian Art Centre (CCRAC).
They contributed to organizing an international conference on 'The People’s Art School and Unovis in Vitebsk' in collaboration with the Van Abbemuseum, highlighting expertise in 20th-century avant-garde movements.
Perutz’s academic work intersects with interdisciplinary research initiatives such as the Ax:son Johnson Centre for the Study of Classical Architecture and participates in seminar series like the Cambridge Modern and Contemporary Art Seminar.
