Suzanne Orchard is a Senior Research Fellow at Monash University's School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine and Director of the ASPREE Extension (ASPREE-XT) study. She leads the observational phase of the ASPREE trial, the largest aspirin study in older Australians. Her research focuses on cancer epidemiology, public health, and aging, with expertise in molecular biology and biomarker research from her prior work at the Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.
Education: BSc (Biological Sciences, Hons) from La Trobe University (1989), PhD in Biology from La Trobe University (1997), focusing on fatty acyl-CoA synthetase enzymes and phytotoxicity.
Research Interests: Cancer survivorship in aging populations, chemoprevention strategies, and the intersection of chronic disease management with aging. Her work addresses dementia risk factors, cardiovascular health in elderly, and medication safety in older adults.
