Dr. Suzanne Braithwaite is an Assistant Professor at the Trent/Fleming School of Nursing, Trent University. She holds a BScN from Brock University, MNSc and PhD from Queen’s University, and is a certified Community Health Nurse (CCHC(C)). Her work focuses on nursing scope of practice in primary care, health system design, and organizational factors influencing healthcare delivery.
Professional affiliations include serving as President of the Canadian Family Practice Nurses’ Association. Current research explores organizational attributes affecting nursing contributions to well-child care and primary care role development. She actively supervises graduate and honours thesis students.
Key research projects include examining nursing role contributions in pediatric care and developing frameworks for primary care nursing roles.
