Suzanne Binder

Dr. Suzanne Binder is an Adjunct Professor at the Gangarosa Department of Environmental Health, affiliated with Emory University and Georgia State University. She previously served at the CDC for 20 years, focusing on environmental health, infectious diseases, and injury prevention. Her work includes pioneering programs like CDC’s childhood lead poisoning prevention and national injury prevention strategies.

Research Interests: Dr. Binder’s work spans environmental health, global public health systems, and preventive medicine. She has contributed to injury prevention frameworks, emerging infectious disease strategies, and initiatives addressing child maltreatment and disability support. Current collaborations include schistosomiasis operational research with the University of Georgia.
