Michelle Hynes is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Hubert Department of Global Health at Emory University and an epidemiologist at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in the Emergency Response and Recovery Branch (ERRB), Atlanta, Georgia. She previously served as a CDC Fellow in the Division of Violence Prevention. Her work focuses on global health, maternal and child health, injury and violence prevention, and reproductive health, with field experience in Sudan, West Africa, and Colombia. Dr. Hynes has collaborated with UNHCR, RAISE, and the CDC on projects addressing urban refugee health, domestic violence, and conflict-related health challenges.
