Suzan Makhloof is a Lecturer at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilisation at Charles Sturt University. Originally from Egypt, she previously served as a university lecturer of English and moved to Australia in 2018 to pursue her PhD in English Linguistics with a focus on Applied Phonology. She is also a part-time high school English teacher and language pathway instructor at the University of Newcastle.

- TAFL (Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language) certificate from American University of Cairo
Suzan specializes in Arabic syntax, morphology, and phonology, with proficiency in seven Arabic dialects. Her work spans language instruction, interpretation, and translation services for public and private agencies in New South Wales, particularly in medical contexts. She integrates cultural education with language training to support personal and professional development.
